As the hours tick off the clock. My deadline approaches.
Written by Tevin on January 28, 2008 – 3:56 pm -So I issued the challenge. And I have updates on my challenge that beset upon myself:
The Challenge:
Make $100 in profit online in a 24 hour time span - may use any means possible
Deadline:
11:59 PM January 28th PST
As that deadline looms. I’m in my last ditch efforts to turn a profit. Just before I typed this entry, I wrote what I consider to be a great email to my house list of about 50 people in my niche, that I’ve developed over the past two weeks. I will need 2 people to buy from this email to reach my goal, which I know is a steep 4% response rate from my list. So… we’ll see.
Self-Review of myself over this challenge:
I started this challenge out with much bravado. I was quite proud of myself and the efforts I put up. And with a $25 sale on the first day of the challenge, I was especially excited. But seeing as today is the end of the challenge. I realize, I did not put in near enough effort in the final days to reach my goals.
I did not continue to work hard through the weekend. And I did not continue to read steadily through the final weekend. This is something I am certainly going to improve upon.
I was also disappointed in neglecting to blog, during the challenge. For my next challenge I am going to blog everyday with updates. Instead of only occasionally. I have seen a notable drop in traffic AND subscribers since my updates stopped coming daily.
Tomorrow is going to be a very special day for this blog. Make sure to come back tomorrow for:
- My final update on my challenge. Will I make my $100 by midnight tonight. Come back and find out.
- I will issue a new challenge to myself AND my readers. There WILL be prizes for the winners.
- A video update on one of the most amazing things you will ever lay your eyes on. I am going to show you something that I get paid upwards of $500/hour to show others. So you’re going to want to stop by and find out what that is.
Until then: good luck if you have taken part in this challenge with me? How have you done? Have you stuck with it? Are you accomplishing your goals? Is it time to reevaluate? What can you do differantly next time? What can you do to improve and get better results next time?

$100 Challenge Update
Written by Tevin on January 23, 2008 – 6:54 pm -Ok, the January 28th deadline is looming for my $100 in one day profit.
I must say, I’m slightly disappointed in my results thus far. I am getting decent traffic, and decent opt-ins. (At about 5 opt-ins per day, at a cost of about $3 a day in advertising). I’m not doing anything major (I don’t have an unlimited budget).
But I am going to kick it up a notch. I am going to start looking for some free traffic (forums. Social media. Etc.) sources to pitch me free eBook. This will hopefully lead to a blow out sale that I am going to offer on the 27th for 24 hours to all of my opt-ins. I hope this leads to the $100 profit.
This blog is short, because I’m concentrating on taking action. What are you doing?

Striving For Success
Written by Tevin on January 21, 2008 – 8:08 pm -So the time is ticking down on the challenge I made for myself, and EVERYONE of my readers.
But here’s the sad part, I got so little of response to the actual challenge! I’m thinking people aren’t as serious as they say they are…
I had great response to my entries on:
The Success Attitude - What 90% Of People DON’T Have & The follow up post where I showed you EXACTLY how you can begin to TAKE CONTROL your emotions so that, you litteraly CHOOSE YOUR MOOD no matter what’s going on in your life, in my Controversy Strikes Again entry.
People gobbled this information up. I had a huge spike in views and comments than my average post.
Then I posted my challenge to all of you.
To set a goal, and to achieve it NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES. And sadly, too few, if ANY actually challenged themselves for success. It seems too many readers of blogs are “All read. No action.”
C’mon people! You can’t just read all these make money ‘ideas’ and say to yourself “Yeah! That’s a good idea. I could totally do that!” And then never EFFING DO IT!
You have to take action. And you have to TAKE ACTION NOW. Otherwise, you’re never going to get ANYWHERE.
There are a combined ~450 Make Money Online and Internet Marketing blogs on Entrecard alone! And I would bet that 80% or more of those blogs are doing nothing more than posting to those blogs, other things they’ve read, or have seen in the past. They are NOT taking MASSIVE ACTION on a DAILY basis.
If you are reading this and thinking to yourself: “Yea… that’s probably me. I really don’t do as much as I could. But my day’s are already busy, and ya know. There are a few new TV shows on tonight. And CSI: I’ve Seen This a Dozen Times is on, and I can’t miss that!”
I’m talking to you!!!
(The reason, I know you’re saying this to yourself in your head, is because that’s how I talked to myself for MANY years, when I read all this great information.)
If you don’t get out of this habit, you are going to be sitting on your ass forever, dreaming of the gold strike. And you’re going to be broke. So my question to you is:
Are you ready for change? Are you 100% COMMITTED TO SUCCESS? If not. You’re doomed.
Here’s the deal: It’s 8pm. I got off work 2 hours ago. I’m still sitting at my desk, writing this entry. I’m probably going to be here for another two hours, tweaking my landing pages; writing content for a sales letter; a number of other things on my to-do list if I have time.
Because, I’ve cut down the distractions in my life. I’ve prioritized. CSI: Boring Edition can wait for when I’ve made the money I need to make.
Where do you stand?

Read This To Witness History…
Written by Tevin on January 14, 2008 – 6:59 pm -(Make sure to read this entire post, to get in on the challenge that will change your life.)
*cue fireworks* *cue marching band playing John Phillip Susa*
Well it’s finally here. Mark it in the history book, www.BankruptcyToMillionaire.com has hit the 3 Month Milestone!
With 62 63 Posts, 113 comments, and over 300 unique visitors a day. I am THRILLED. This blog has grown faster than I would have ever imagined. This is not a blog that I’m trying to get rich with, or trying to establish myself as the end-all know-all expert of everything.
It’s about my growth, and experiences that will lead me to my ultimate financial freedom. I am thrilled to hear the comments from you all, that talk about how you are becoming inspired to take MORE ACTION and to accomplish more, more often. Good work! Lets get there together!
I Challenge You To Change Your Life.
Lets face it. There are a lot of damn “Money Bloggers” out there. Some blogging about how to make money online (some actually do, most really don’t). Some blogging about how they are TRYING to make money online (which is only part of what I’m trying to accomplish here). But here’s the thing. Other than blogging about things. What in the hell are you doing to try and make some money?
I know I’m “trying” things. But as one famous puppet once said: “There is no try. Only do.” . And with that spirit in mind. Here’s the simple challenge:
Two Week Challenge For Cash!
“Do ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING in your power to reach your goal by 11:59 PM January 28th 2008.”
That’s the whole challenge. Now if you’re trying to make money online, you can either choose to embrace this challenge and put your destiny in your hands, you may choose to accept that your Destiny is in YOUR HANDS. You control your outcome. Or you may say to yourself like you always do:
“Oh yeah, I really need to do that. That’s a good idea. I’m definitely going to think about doing something like that myself someday.”
But here’s the sad reality (and I know this to be true. Because I said this to myself every time I had/read/thought of a good idea that I really knew I should take action on, but never did) is that you are NEVER going to take action with that attitude. If you always have a reason to not take action now, then when?
NOW is the ONLY time to take action.
So now I must set a goal. (In addition to write on this blog my goals. I am writing them BY HAND, ON PAPER, and posting them in front my computer. This way I KNOW exactly what I am shooting for every step of the way.)
My goal is to by the end of January the 28th to have had my first $100 day. That’s right: I WILL make $100 IN PROFIT by January the 28th.
Tonight is going to be spent researching the most effective and quickest ways I can implement to start making some money. Ideas I have:
- Find affiliate offer
- PPC Marketing (Not working the way am doing it right now.)
- Free Traffic?
- Craigs Lists
- Ebay
- Social Networking?
- Myspace
- Friendster?
- Proxy Websites
- How are they done?
- Can they still make money?
- Niche Blog Network
- Travel
- Wii
- Ebay
- Monetization?
- Adsense
- Affiliate offers?
- B2M
- Can it be monetized?
- Do I want to?
There you have it. That’s a general outline of where my mind is at. With massive SIMULTANEOUS action on one, or ALL of these things reaching $100 in twenty four hours should not be all the difficult with some thought.
Now, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO! Just go do it. I’ll see you in two weeks.
- Tevin
P.S. Post your comments if you’re taking me up on your challenge. What are your goals? If you wrote a blog on what you’re taking action on RIGHT NOW leave a link. Just do it, or be left in the dust. Good luck everyone.

Controversy Strikes Again!
Written by Tevin on January 9, 2008 – 8:06 pm -Yesterday was a controversial topic for many readers.
The Success Attitude - What 90% of people DON’T HAVE! discussed how responding positively to others AND to yourself will set you up for success.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I am not saying, BECAUSE you are positive you are going to be successful.
As Stephan Miller from http://www.stephanmiller.com/ comments:
“But I have seen some people take this too far. They think they positivity is all it takes. It takes some work also.”
This is a great point. I would elaborate say that it takes more than “some” work. It takes TONS of work to become a huge financial success. But you are nearly dead from the start if you allow yourself to be negative, and overrun by your emotions.
Today I am going to tell you EXACTLY how you can begin to TAKE CONTROL your emotions so that, you litteraly CHOOSE YOUR MOOD no matter what’s going on in your life.
Many people feel their emotions are something of a subconscious reaction to things. Something your predisposed to, and you have little to no control over.
But the fact is, this is COMPLETELY FALSE. You in fact (in nearly every occasion) have TOTAL control over your emotions, and how you let them effect you.
(But first let me break this down, so I’m not misunderstood. I think we can agree there are certain times of tragedy, or other significant events in our lives, that warrant depression, mourning, or melancholy, and similar emotions. These are not the emotions I’m referring to control. I do not mean to be insensitive.)
Your emotions are like a camera.
Because just like a camera, your emotions can only focus in on any one thing at a time. For instance, it is nearly impossible to be furious with anger, and yet be still feel joyous enough to be overcome with laughter. And in the event that you are overcome with laughter, you are no longer furious.
And understanding that your emotions work this way, you can learn to begin to control them. As I have. You can begin to choose your mood. No matter what’s going on in your life, or going on around you.
Let me tell you a personal story. This was me just about 3 years ago, right after I graduated high school:
I used to spend days on end, feeling sorry for myself. Being an emotional wreck. Depressed.
I was totally ambivalent to the world around me. I just didn’t care anymore. People came, people went. I stopped paying attention. “My life sucks” I would think.
I was paralyzed with depression.
Then one day. Everything changed. I immediately felt fantastic. I felt thrilled. Upbeat. I had my humor back. People were laughing around me, people enjoyed being around me. I was ME again.
How? I made a decision.
In all of my introspection, I realized that I was depressed, about being depressed! Sure there were things I could point out if asked “why the long face”.
- I hate school. I have no purpose here.
- I hate my job. This isn’t what I want to do.
- I’m broke because I gamble too much.
- I can’t find a girl to save my soul, I must be undateable, unattractive, unappealing, etc.
- I’m not good at anything
- I just don’t feel good
- I’m not active anymore
- blahblahblah I feel sorry for myself blahblahblah
You see, just like a camera can only focus on any on thing at any one time. I was only focusing on all the supposedly depressing things in my life.
I realized, even while I was depressed that I was not in a productive state of mind. So I made a decision, at that very moment. That I had no good damn reason to be depressed. Look at all the things I have to be thankful for!
- I get to find out my purpose in an environment that lets me try new things.
- My job is only temporary, and I still have money to do the things I love to do with the people I love to do them with.
- I can quit gambling, at any point it time. Problem solved.
- Single is better!
- I’m great at a lot of things. And I’m only getting better!
- “I think I’ll go for a run”
- Life is freaking great.
I began to focus on different sides of the exact things that were depressing me. And by forcing myself to look at all the positives in my life, I realized there is no use being depressed, if I didn’t like something, I have the opportunity to change. To improve.
Now I never will get depressed for more than a few hours. And as soon as I realize that I am “feeling sorry for myself” I am able to snap out of it. Because I just force myself to focus on the many great things I have going. I force myself to smile. It’s nearly impossible to be depressed if you’re smiling. Eventually you realize the limitless opportunity, if you indeed just focus on it.
Actively choosing exactly what to focus your emotions on is just one of many tactics I use. I urge you to at least try, and let me know your results. I’ll be letting you in on a few more of my “brain secrets” over the coming weeks.
Cheers Everyone!

The Success Attitude - What 90% of people DON’T HAVE!
Written by Tevin on January 8, 2008 – 1:00 am -So you want to be successful? But do you have the attitude that is ABSOLUTELY NECCESARY to have to become a huge success? 90% of you don’t have it, and have no chance of success. Are you in the 10%?
*Keeping mind that 84% of all statistics are made up on the spot. * 90% of people that “want” to be successful in their endeavors are DOOMED from the word “ready” (forget set, go. They’re not even close).
Why?
I’ll explain why in just a second but first let me ask you a question, and I want you to read it OUT LOUD and answer OUT LOUD (as if you are actually talking to me). Worried that someone around you might think you’re crazy? News Flash: They already do. And they’re probably are right… Nevertheless. Answer this:
How are you doing today?
Did you answer out loud? Good! Now what did you say?
There are two classes of answers. And the way you answer is going to play a HUGE part on your overall success. Shocking? Let me explain.
Answer Group #1 The Doomed To Succeed. These people answer with responses like:
- “I’m ok”
- “Fine”
- “Gettin’ By”
- “Makin’ It”
- “Eh, pretty good”
- “Oh, you know how it is…”
- “*exasperated sigh* You wouldn’t BELIEVE the day I’m having”
Answer Group #2 The “Primed For Success” Answers. The people that are open to succeding answer with responses such as:
- “I’m GREAT!”
- “I’m doing fantastic.”
- “Wonderful”
- “*excited tone* You wouldn’t Believe me if I told you!”
- “Terrific”
“Ahhh… Yes, but Tevin this has nothing to do with Success, this is just the way people respond based on their mood” I hear the voices in my head reply (I never said you were the only crazy one…).
For 90% of people, they answer this question based on “how they feel”, for the most part they answer “honestly”. But for the 10% that understand the weight of the question, they do not base their reply on how they “feel” at that exact moment. NO! Instead the ALWAYS reply with an enthusiastic delighted tone.
“Ohhhhh…. I still don’t get it”
You see the weight of this question is goes beyond just a cordial greeting. Sure responding with an enthusiastic delighted tone you won’t come off as an ass-ly curmudgeon. But it’s much more important than this. When you reply to this question with real words. When you say it out loud, you are CONDITIONING your mind to your true emotion.
What does this mean?
Basically, you can only feel one strong emotion at any one time. If you are laughing hystarically, it’s nearly impossible for you to feel depressed. If you’re crying out of depression, it’s nearly impossible for you to feel the euphoria of happiness.
So when you respond “I’m ok.” Your brain will literally make you feel just “ok”.
But even if you are having the WORST day of your life, and you force yourself to put on a huge goofy grin, and say, “You know I’m having a great day.” And you say it with enthusiasm, you act as though you mean it. Guess what, your brain will eventually begin to believe you. If you say it enough, you will feel it.
You will find that speaking positively ALL OF THE TIME will greatly increase your mood, level your emotions, and make you hugely more productive and successful.
How Do I Practice This In My Everyday Life?
I concentrate on speaking ONLY in positives. When someone asks me “how are you doing”. I always respond enthusiastically no matter how I’m REALLY feeling. Because even after my response, I feel better already.
For example:
I know that my goal is to become a MILLIONAIRE in 48 months (starting October 13th 2006). There are plenty of NON BELIEVERS. I am not one of them. There is NO DOUBT in my mind that I will become a millionaire in 48 months. I am positive of that fact.
Are you positive that you’re positive?

This Will Blow Your Mind, Guaranteed!
Written by Tevin on January 2, 2008 – 12:05 pm -This is a man who knows EXACTLY what he is doing. Take a few minutes (9) to watch this clip. Then I’ll discuss why it’s important.
This is Joel Bauer. A Magician… a Perceptionist, rather. note: Perceptionist is just a self-proclaimed title to set himself apart from other magicians. But through years of performing on stage he has become a master of speaking, and master of the English language, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
I’ve known of Joel for several years now, and have had the pleasure to see him in action on a couple of occasions now. He is truly a Wonder to observe. He grabs his audience’s attention, and doesn’t give it back until they pull out there wallets to him tons of money.
Why Is Joel Bauer Important?
The first time I saw Joel in action he spoke for 2 days at a “Nothing To Buy” seminar for Mortgage Brokers. There were about 50 or so in the room, and at the end of the “Nothing To Buy” seminar of information on how to be a better marketer of mortgage brokering, about 30 of whom decided they would “enroll” in their $18,000 a year program. He had a 60+% conversion rate for an $18,000/year program.
The next time I saw him draw HUGE crowds at a hum-drum Mortgage Broker Trade Show (NAMB). He literally can stop people in their tracks with his words alone, and draws them in huge numbers to his Client’s booths.
I have also heard rumors of him speaking from the platform and selling $3M worth of product. Yes. $3,000,000 in product from one speech from the platform.
After I’ve talked with him 1-on-1, seen him in person. Shook his hand. This is what I’ve learned from Joel Bauer.
Image is everything.
People judge you on everything. You appearance, your haircut, your business card, your voice, the words you choose, the tone you use, the cadence in which you speak. People are constantly sizing you up, processing whether you are interesting or boring. Knowledgeable or Dumb. Revolutionary or a copy cat.
The more prepared you are with the words you choose, the clothes you wears, the promotional materials you use, the more “lucky” you are going to become.
Luck = Opportunity + Preparation

Content Hiatus
Written by Tevin on December 24, 2007 – 2:14 am -I will not be posting any new content between now and Wednesday because of the holidays. But I did have a quick few things I wanted to let all the Holiday Surfers and B2M Newbies in on:
First some of my earlier posts that might be worth a quick read:
- Pulling The Trigger
- Know Your Outcome
- My Life Story of Failure — And how I’m turning it into success
- How I accidentally made $88.50 with online affiliate marketing.
Also of note is this weeks Blog Hop. Please pay a visit to our friend at:
Any my last note to all of you is.
Be Different
Stop being like everyone else. If you write a make money online blog, tell me something I haven’t read in 10 other sources this week. If you write a niche blog, are you interesting, or are you like 5 other blogs I can find in 60 second flat.
How do you monetize? Are you thinking outside the box? Maybe there is a way to turn a profit you haven’t thought of yet–because you’re to busy try to copy what has worked in the past…
Be Different. I have not always been. But I will be this new year. Just you wait and see..

You’re Broke. You’re A Loser. And You Could Care Less.
Written by Tevin on December 12, 2007 – 1:51 am -This is the first Guest Post on B2M by freelance writer Sean Gittrich. I chose this as the first post, because this describes me just 4 months ago…
Here’s the deal: nearly every broke person in the world has the same lame attitude. “Woe is me! I’m broke and it’s out of my control. I would be making all the money I could ever want if it just weren’t for my extreme toenail fungus disease.” … To weird and gross? Who cares, it could be any other number of uncontrollable outside forces that keep you from making the money you think you truly desire.
Because making excuses… that’s easy. Things that are outside of your control are–just that–outside of your control. You can’t possibly expect yourself to really go for it when you know you have to be up early tomorrow morning for work. Or you couldn’t possibly put pen to paper to begin to realizing your dreams, when that new prime-time show CSI: I’ve Seen This Before is on in 5 minutes.
This is why you’re broke. This is why 80% of
All it takes is for YOU to DECIDE. Decide you are not going to put it off another second. Decide you are no longer going let outside forces dictate your dreams. Decide the only way to realize your dreams is to begin taking action immediately. Decide TODAY—right now is the time for change.
As soon as you finish reading this article. THE SECOND YOU FINISH. Begin taking action. Make your first step. Don’t wait even five minutes. Or until you get off work. Stop making excuses!
Don’t know where to start? Then your first step should be to read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Read it before? GOOD! Read it AGAIN (repetition breeds skill)! Your first step should be to read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Read it before? GOOD! Read it AGAIN (repetition breeds skill)! Don’t have a copy? Search for “Think and Grow Rich ebook”. You’ll find plenty available for free as a download.
Begin by writing down your ideas and thoughts. Start a blog. Write in a journal. Don’t let your thoughts flush down the proverbial thought toilet of life. Remember them, write them, and begin to take action. As soon as you begin to take action you’ll begin to flourish. Study. Read. Act. And NEVER STOP.
