Written by Tevin on March 28, 2008 – 3:46 am -My personal goal?
Make $1,000,000 in 48 months.
To be quite honest with you the last month has be:
Exhilarating. Exciting. Depressing. Motivating. Inspiring. Overbearing.
And many other -ing words. To be quite frank:
I have learned a ton. And spent a TON of time. TRYING to make money online.
I have been building: Campaigns. Landing Pages. Websites.
It seems never ending. No matter what I seem to do, I can’t seem to turn a profit. But rest assured. I haven’t given up… not even close.
Today more than ever I have a ton of ideas/projects I’m working on/inspiration.
I am neither daunted or swayed from my goal of becoming a millionaire in 48 months (total… we’re about five months in I think) .
So with that I am going to leave you with a few links that are what guide me on a daily basis.

How To Grow Your Blog Exponentially Overnight…
Written by Tevin on December 11, 2007 – 2:45 am -The last 4 days have been incredibly eye opening on what it takes to grow a blog by leaps and bounds in a very short period of time. I’m going to share the secrets I’ve learned and answer a few readers comments on where this blog is going to go.
First I’d like to share that I’ve been enamored to see the growth of Winning the Web–pretty much overnight. I know Gyutae is getting plugged all over the net for his free John Chow and Cow reviews contest.
But it just has to be said, the man planned it down to a T. And with good timing, and smart planning, EXCELLENT blog entries (not to mention entertaining guest posts on big name bloggers), and unique Community Involvement implemented (i.e. Blog Hopping and his Blog Audits) his blog is taking off like a Rocket. Good work Guytae–I’ll be following your development, and I aspire to have the vision and foresight you have. (P.S. To Gyutae I hope to win a blog audit. heh!)
So all of this has me quite intrigued. It’s quite obvious that an enticing, and well promoted Blog Contest can grow your blog exponentially seemingly overnight–with smart planning and smooth execution. What contests are you running? You’ll certainly be seeing one from B2M before the New Year!
Next I’d like to answer some of my readers. Because a few phenomenal ideas have come from comments given to me. I’d like to respond to each of them individually here:
“Another thought to getting exposure that I have been reading about lately is guest bloggers, have you others that write the same niche, you maybe able to ask them to write for you and then their readers might follow giving you a new readership as well.
I have tried this with my Jericho Blog and it has worked, tho I do guest blogging more myself on a few other blogs.”
From: lisa coultrup ( kystorms) at http://jerichooncbs.blogspot.com/
Thanks Lisa for the comment! Guest blogging is another thing I’ve been reading quite a bit about lately. I think this is a phenomenal way to get exposer. I am going to spend several days writing Guest Posts for Blogs that I’d like to be featured on. I am then going to plan a surge. I’d like to get them all posted in the same week (or day if possible!) then coordinate a Blog Contest as well to build RSS and Technorati readers all around the same time period. The goal is to get a HUGE SURGE of traffic all at once.
“Hi, my advice for getting noticed would be monthly if not weekly accountability on your blog.
You could for example setup a bank account and accumulate money in it, and give the balance every month, over time it’ll be interesting.
Of course being a millionaire will mean you’ll have money invested in some other things than a bank account, so work it out yourself, but the keyword i guess is public accountability and regularity, so your readers build expectations”
From James at www.Blog-Money-Wiki.com
This is a PHENOMENAL idea. I’ve always wanted a monthly (or bi-monthly) progress report. Just didn’t know the “right” way to do it. A bank account is a truly interesting and entertaining idea. I am going to put a ton of thought into this an implement “Tevin’s B2M Progress Report”. This will be a full disclosure on EXACTLY where I’m at.
Thanks so much everyone, your comments are TRULY appreciated,
- Tevin Anderson

The Secret To Getting Noticed…
Written by Tevin on December 7, 2007 – 3:21 pm -photo by realkuhl
(I need your help! Read on and give suggestions…)
I keep blogging at B2M with one fundamental problem. It doesn’t stand out from the crowd. It’s not quite unique enough.
How does one get noticed? I like to think I have a unique premise… but I’m not executing it well.
I need to do some deep thinking on what I can do to help propel this blog to give it some worthwhileness. Does it need a new look (*probably*)? Does it need better content (*definitely*)? Do I need ads or guest posts? Video posts?
These are things I think about when trying to grow my blog. This blog is a huge learning experience for me. I’ve never done any sort of blogging before (and am a new member of the blog-o-sphere as a reader too). So I’m just kind of learning as I go. I would love your input! I take constructive criticism VERY WELL. I’d love to hear what you think:
What do you love about B2M? What do you hate? What are your suggestions? What do you do with your site(s) to help you be unique–to stand out from the crowd? If this were your blog, what would you do with it? I welcome criticism.
I also urge you to think this way. What are you doing to be unique? Are you? Are you standing out from the crowd? If not, why not? Start thinking. Together we’ll prosper.
On a side note: One reason this blogs content is somewhat lacking in depth, is there seem to be so many things on my plate at one time. My *fairly* in depth affiliate marketing test (which I’ll give a full progress report on this weekend). My full time job. A side web deb project. AND working at Red Robin as a house magician. Couple that with giving enough of my new girlfriend, and spending time with my family and friends. I’m now realizing that I need much better time management. With that, I bid you adieu have a great weekend.

I’m a self-indulgent pr**k, and why you care…
Written by Tevin on December 3, 2007 – 3:20 pm -I’ve finally figured out the secret as to why this blog isn’t sky rocketing with popularity, fame and fortune… And why yours isn’t either.
First off, happy Monday and Happy December to everyone. The countdown has finally begun.
Why I’m an Ass…
I’ve been studying endlessly (it seems) as to what makes a good blog, and what makes a blog good.
Sometimes it would seem the answer would be obvious… but it never seems to be. But ultimately, it comes down to being interesting and entertaining.
Thus I have found the errs in my ways. So far this blog has been filled with self-indulgent jackassery.
I’ve fallen into a pattern of writing for the “hell of it”. Not really concentrating on providing valuable, pertinent, and interesting content. This is where I went terribly wrong…
Today this changes.
I had to do some thinking about why I have this blog. What is it’s purpose? And quite quickly it occurred to me, it’s about doing what it takes to become a millionaire. It’s about helping inspire, motivate, and educate others on how to know they can become a millionaire as well.
So here what I’ve learned this weekend to help both you, and me succeed when we’re blogging:
Being a copywriter, I know that the Headline is THE MOST important copy of the entire sales letter. There are products that have made and lost fortunes based on solely their headlines. The headline in advertising must force the reader to read the article.
This same technique MUST be applied to your blog posts. I have forever just picked a few words that came to the top of my head for the title of each of my blog posts.
THIS IS WRONG!
More thought, and technique should be put into the headline than the rest of the post! Because if you can’t get someone interested with the Entry Title, YOU HAVE NO WAY IN HELL OF GETTING THEM TO READ THE POST!
This seems SO obvious. Yet, I have forgotten to put this much effort into my titles, and from the dozens of different posts I read on a daily basis, others seem to forget this very important point as well.
Your titles should invoke emotion from the reader. They should feel STRONGLY about it. It should make them ecstatic, pissed, curious, enamored, sad, excited. They should feel a strong emotion from reading your title, otherwise you’re never going to get the chance for them to read the important information contained in your post.
- “I’m giving away $100 cash in the next 10 minutes” -excited
- “12 died in a tragic bullet train accident” - sad
- “George Bush, impeached!” - ecstatic/pissed (depending on whose side you’re on
) - “Do you know the 3 things, you can avoid, but you’re doing that are preventing you from making $10,000 next month?” - curious
Those are just a couple headlines that came to me off the top of my head that would evoke an explicit emotion. And more importantly would probably force the readers to read on for more information.
Next time you’re reading an interesting blog post, take a look at the headline. Is that what drew you in? What was it that attracted you to the article?
When you’re reading the newspaper, what draws you into the story you’re reading? The headline (and maybe the picture, but that’s a whole ‘nother entry).
Think about it…

I’m ugly. You’re beautiful.
Written by Tevin on November 9, 2007 – 11:58 am -Ok, a quick admission:
It’s Friday and it has been a crazy week! So I spent a little while just ingesting information. Reading everything that pops on my screen for the last two hours has been quite enlightening. I’ve learned several amazing things and found several amazing resources.
But on thing that immediately jumped out at me: THIS BLOG IS UGLY AND BORING!!! So many other blogs have awesome formatting. Amazing pictures. Stunning ideas. They can be truly mesmerizing.
Through building my profile on Stumbleupon I ran across this WONDERFUL blog:
http://thinksimplenow.com/clarity/5-keys-to-simplifying-any-concept
Her blog is about simple. Being simple. And acting simple. And the blog is beautifully simple.
So I vow to make this blog not so UGLY over time. Time to start upgrading and proving even more valuable and inspirational information.
Have a great weekend everybody!

My path to MILLIONS.
Written by Tevin on November 7, 2007 – 5:52 pm -Ok… so maybe I’m not a millionaire yet! But I’m making progress! I wanted to give a quick recap of whats happened so far in my journey to excellence and success:
- I’m facing my fear of face to face cold calling from my job. I’m forcing myself to go out and talk to business managers, even though I feel COMPLETELY out of my element. I much prefer selling with the written word.
- I am posting here on a regular basis and building a REGULAR READERSHIP! Thanks to everyone who reads this. It really means a lot to me. And the comments you’ve given me about how you are also inspired to achieve thrills me to no end!
- I am reading reading reading. Although this is also a fault! I’m not reading an hour EVERYDAY yet. But I will get there.
Now as I mentioned in an early post. I am beginning to try to monetize the things I do in life. This blog being one of them. I don’t plan or charging for it, or anything like that. But paying the hosting bill wouldn’t be bad.

With surges of pages views now starting to come in over 500 on some days. If I can learn to monetize that to a degree. That would be amazing!
Again thanks everyone for the support. And I’ll be talking to you tomorrow! Cheers to you and your success.

Bring on the weekend!
Written by Tevin on November 2, 2007 – 11:21 am -I have so much planned for this weekend! I am going to be taking massive action on a couple of projects. The first of which is an Affiliate venture I’m pretty excited about, based in the Dog Lovers World. It is something I hope to build over the next few months. Culminating in a venue where dog and pet lovers and trainers can hang out and discuss all sorts of things. I’ll update you on Monday with my progress.
I also have this copywriting project I’m working on. That I hope to make a ton of headway on this weekend as well.
Other than that I have a few quick announcements:
I’m now a moderator over at the Did You Smell That dom COM Forums. So if you’re into making money online and discussing ideas and concepts with like minded people head on over and join the action of this start up community. It’s a ton of fun and I think you’ll learn a lot from the folks over there.
Also, you may have notice on the left Sidebar. There is now and option to receive B2M updates in your email box. Don’t worry I will never share or give away your email address to anyone.
Have a great weekend everybody!

Without Passion. What’s the point?
Written by Tevin on October 19, 2007 – 6:41 pm -As I try to build this blog there are several things I’m realizing:
I know NOTHING about blogging.
I know NOTHING on how to build a blog audience.
Being interesting, informative AND entertaining all at the same time, isn’t always as easy as it sounds.
But there are many other positive things I am noticing:
I have a passion for not only learning and trying to build this project, but also finding the key to helping inspire and motivate others who are in a similar situation as me. People who have fantastic POTENTIAL, but are having trouble tapping that potential because they are procrastinators, “putter-offers“. Or the people that can TASTE success. They just can’t quite figure it out, and are getting discouraged.
I commit with this blog to not only, CHANGE MYSELF, but give you the tools and secrets to bring about the change and desire to succeed in you as well.
Your first step to bring ULTIMATE SUCCESS. Join the B2M Bookclub. Membership is simple, just commit to reading at least 1 hour per day. What you read is not as important so much is THAT you read, and what you read will directly help you move forward and bring about success.
I have started with reading Think and Grow Rich you can download your own copy from that link and begin reading it too. If you have not read it at least a Dozen times. I suggest you read it along with me.
Monday I will begin discussion on it, and the impact it’s had on me and my outlook on success.
