SEO Trial & Error

Written by Tevin on April 4, 2008 – 7:16 pm -

Ok, I’ve taken to some niche blogging and SEO techniques.

I’m going to try some keywords sniping for a couple of my sites to see if I can eventually rank well in the search engines for specific terms. To be honest, I have no idea what I’m doing, and furthermore, I have no interest in actually making money from my SEO trials.

I’m just doing it to see if I can achieve some sort of high SERPS for my given terms. Right now I’m trying to rent movies online and I am also looking for info on shih tzu training .

If you are not reading these blogs. And you are trying to make money online using SEO. You are probably not actually making any money online. Vic, Court, and Grizz cut through the crap and actually give real world, PROFITABLE INFORMATION. They’re not into nickle and diming you for shitty ebooks. They’re not looking to get your money. They know that giving good info to people that actually take the time to listen and learn, will eventually come back to them 10 fold.

These are by far the best blogs I’ve come by. And quite frankly, have cleared my RSS of almost every other blog, that aren’t these. So if you’ve been scammed by ebooks, or similar products, and really want to make money online. These guys will show you how to get started today.

Blogger Unleashed - Make Money Online

Courtney Tuttle - Internet Marketing

Gizz’s - How to Make Money Online

Read those. Catch up, and lets make some money.

A New Bankruptcy To Millionaire - I’m Tired of the Main Stream Bullshit

Written by Tevin on April 1, 2008 – 2:46 am -

Ok guys here it goes:

I haven’t been blogging on a regular schedule for a long time. And it’s not because I’ve gone away from trying to make money (and lots of it, in just a short time). It’s actually quite the opposite. I’ve been building sites, trying ideas, learning new things. Growing.

And in this process, I’ve learned something. The internet is full of shit. It’s full of tons of worthless garbage, liars, posers, and down right dumb shit.

So, now fuck it. This is my website, and I’m going to run it my way, not the way everyone things a damn blog should be run. That means, I’m going to use big boy words. I’m going to vent, and I’m going to be more me than I ever was before.

It also means, I’m going to be taking down the ads, when I started this blog I got so damn wrapped up in my stats. How many visitors I was getting, my feed readers, my click throughs on my ads, my adsense crap.

UGH! I’m done with that. I’m only going to concentrate on things that make REAL MONEY. This site has never made real money. So I’m not hear to please anybody but myself any more. If I make progress, or learn new things. I am going to talk about them here. I hope to share everything I learn in a more open fashion now.

I don’t claim to make money online. I don’t claim to be an internet marketing genius. I am just a sponge willing to learn. And want a place to share my growth. So today, the ads come down. The traffic building techniques come down. The tone changes.

Today marks the day of a new B2M. Take it or leave it.

The Silent Magician

Written by Tevin on January 31, 2008 – 4:31 pm -

So what is it that I can do working 4 days a week, 8 hours a week. And earn more than I’m making at my current J-O-B?

This is me. I’m not normally this silent. But I don’t have a mic for my computer. So here’s a quick video of a little of what I for people at resturaunts while they’re waiting for their food.

Making Money Online With Contests…

Written by Tevin on January 11, 2008 – 2:24 am -

UPDATED: Apparently my vote is well placed in Gyutae Park of Winning The Web! I just got an email regarding my free tshirt and was also informed by Gyutae that Tyler is getting desperate:

“However, Tyler is being very [edit] about the rules and he says that technically your vote doesn’t count. Could you please edit your post so it’s over 300 words and there’s a link to Tyler in there somewhere? That way your vote will count and you’ll have a chance at $100 when I win.”

HA! Nice try Tyler, but you ain’t gonna snipe my chances of winning a $100 bucks! So now, with this update, not only to I reaffirm that Gyutae is the RIGHTFUL winner of this LINKBAIT contest. But I also secure my place as a QUALIFIED VOTE.

____Original Post______

Ok so I am to become a millionaire in 48 months… well 45 now as three months have already passed… and by looking at my sidebar, I’m still in the hole 13 bucks… So make that a $1,000,013 now that I have to make online.

Then I came across one way to make a quick $100. Thus leaving me only $999,913 to make. This is obviously a smart investment. “How do you win this said $100″ I hear you ask…

This is easily done by winning a contest being sponsored by http://www.WinningtheWeb.com and http://www.TylerCruz.com . And I’ll gladly take either of these two jackals money. Now, knowing that Tyler Cruz is a poker player, he calculated the odds. He figures to be a huge favorite in this even money match up between these gambling bloggers. (Gyutae, You’re definitely taking a gamble on this one!)

For this very reason alone I have to vote for the LONGSHOT! If this were the 2007 WSOP Tyler would be Scotty Nguyen and Gyutae would play the part of Jerry Yang (Confused? Google it….). Somehow I think Gyutae is going to work some magic, and with a little luck gonna pull this contest out with a W.

So my pick between the WTW and TC match up:

Gyutae Park - Winning the Web

Now send me my 100 bucks!

Now The Hangover is Gone. Lets Make Some Cash.

Written by Tevin on January 2, 2008 – 1:41 am -

We’re back. I’m fully recovered, I’m in the full swing of things ready to make a s***load of money in 2008. Here’s what we’re looking forward to THIS MONTH:

I have several offers, and networks on tap to promote in affiliate marketing. I’ll be posting my results as the week progresses. It shall be interesting and exciting to see what unfolds.

I was happy to see even though my posting schedule was put on pause. My traffic did not take a huge dip.

I am going to be making more money in the sentient-world of “real” people. I am going to be expanding the number of restaurants I am performing in on a weekly basis. And there is a chance that I start a new sales job with a great starting salary toward the end of the month (which money I will use to continue to pay down my mountains of credit card debt) *that is if I don’t hit it BIG TIME with affiliate marketing before hand*.

A REVOLUTIONARY NEW SYSTEM for making money with blogs. I think everyone is going to LOVE what I have ready to unleash this month. It will help generate a modest income for the site, and help increase traffic to other sites.

Finally I am going to be revealing secrets to help YOU become more productive and profitable.

So if you are new. Welcome! Subscribe to the RSS you’re not gonna want to miss this month on B2M.

12.5 thoughts one has from taking a sick day.

Written by Tevin on December 5, 2007 – 11:48 am -

Yesterday I spent the entire day sick. So I spent most of the day on my laptop. Things I learned for 12 straight hours in front of a screen:

  1. There are far too many “make money online” blogs.
  2. There is too much good information to learn online
  3. There is probably more bad stuff you’ll have to unlearn
  4. I truly don’t know what I don’t know. The more I learn. The less I know it seems.
  5. MSN Live Messanger eats many hours of would-be productivity.
  6. Affiliate programs are not “easy”
  7. Johncow.com is all but pointless.
  8. BankruptcytoMillionaire.com needs work.
  9. Publicity is key to growing your blog.
  10. Money CAN be made online (but you’re probably gonna have to figure out how to do it yourself).
  11. RSS Feeds can become cumbersome.
  12. I waste too much time. And need to learn much better time magagment skills.

12.5 Everybody loves lists.

A Lack Of Concentration

Written by Tevin on November 24, 2007 – 3:17 pm -

*thinking silently to myself out loud*

What is my problem? I can’t seem to concentrate on getting stuff done. I feel incredibly unproductive and stagnant. I know the things that need to be done. But I’m not doing them. At work. Extra projects. My projects. I am not taking action like I should. I keep thinking about taking action. Talking about the possibilities. But I’m just not DOING IT!

I’ve read about 19 year old successes. 12 and 13 year old successes. 23 year old successes.

What the hell is my problem? I know it can be done. I know I have it in me. Why don’t I just take more Massive Action and start DOING IT. That’s all it takes. Just to do it.

I need to stop procrastinating and just get to it.

I hate being negative, and this will be one of the few posts I make that is. I’m just in a strange state of mind right now. Maybe I shouldn’t be blogging???

Anyhow I am going to kick my own ass even harder. Set firmer goals. And make more progress, more rapidly. I cannot afford to just “think”. I must DO. I must own it.

Thank is all.

*End Brain Spew*

A Haiku-ish Response to Haiku Blogging

Written by Tevin on November 21, 2007 – 12:52 pm -

Over at Problogger.com there was a post written Haiku Blogging. Now at first I thought it might have talked about something I have done recently, and that is post a Haiku as a blog post. But it’s not. It’s something quite more important. And really relates to another blog I’ve found myself reading often. Specifically on the post of simplifying anything.

It’s helped me realize that my life is TOO DAMN BUSY. I make everything too complicated by not focusing. My time management is… well it’s HORRIBLE. I’m still far to easily distracted. I spend way to much time on this blog being “unproductive”. I spend way to much time check traffic stats, and other pointless time wasters.

It’s helped me realize I need to concentrate on what’s important. Getting my blog known, and making sure I get visitors. Sure, that’s important. But checking in every hour to see how many visitors I’ve had in the last 60 minutes… Not quite so important.

I’ve not realized if I concentrate on allocating only so much time everyday to important tasks, and cut out the not so important. I’ll not only get more things done. I’ll get them done more efficiently, and as a result create a better overall experience for everyone involved.

In spirit of being brief, I’ll end it there. I just would like to wish everyone a GREAT Thankgiving Break. Make sure you enjoy it.

My brain just took a dump on this blog.

Written by Tevin on November 19, 2007 – 1:59 pm -

Well it’s Monday! And it’s going to be an incredible week. And I’ve been thinking about tons of things to write about… most of which I will get to this week. But I wanted to do a brain dump today. I’ve had so many thing rushing around inside my head.

Here are todays Random Thoughts:

I’m reading a ton more on the internet. I spend most of my time with my laptop on my lap during all my free moments “trolling” the blog-o-sphere. I’m reading tons of neat thoughts and ideas.

My favorite blog this week is by far Nate Whitehill’s. I love his blog for a number of reasons:

  1. He’s successful
  2. He’s my generation. I forget that there are achievers in my age group. I’ve known so many “talkers” and so few doers. It reminds me I need to keep surrounding myself with successful people. (Which reminds me I need to set up that meeting with Spliced Media, guys if you read this, I’ll be in touch.)
  3. His writing and his thoughts are fantastic. And reminded me that I need to concentrate on providing value, and NOT trying to monetize right away. Which explains why I took down all the ads. Those can wait.

My blog is slowing gaining some momentum. But I’ve learned when I don’t post everyday, I lose a TON of that momentum. I missed two days last week, and I my visitors dropped from apx. 100 unique visitors a day, to about only 25 a day. YIKES! Time to remember not to miss a day! However, I’m slowing gaining fans on Technorati and other social networking sites (if you like what you see. Please let me know! And add me to your friends list on any social networking sites). I even have 4 feed subscribers!!!

My (albeit) meaningless Alexa Rank is just below the 1mil mark. Up from the 2mil mark it was before. By the end of my first three months blogging I hope to be in the top 100,000.

As mentioned before, I’ve taken down all the ads, and am more concentrating on building a readership. It is not worth trying to monetize for the 6 cents a day I was making! After 3 months I’ll consider placing ads, or maybe trying some affiliate deal. ONLY after I’ve gained the faith and trust of my readers.

I am slowly trying to make this blog “my own”. I’ve added my own header “logo”. I don’t LOVE this theme. I’d like to find a design I really like (and/or hire someone to design one to my needs). I’ve never used a WP blog before, so changing and updating things is a slow process for me. But I’m figuring it out.

I need to more clearly define what I’m blogging on. I need to do a ton more thinking of my “purpose”. I’m thinking I’m going to define it with “Personal Development, Entrepreneur Thinking, and Personal Success”. These are where my passions are, and I think that’s what I’ll try to stick to. So my readers know what to expect.

I need to be more honest and upfront with my readers. I was just reading, that presenting your flaws, make you that much more credible. I know this deep down. But sometimes I have problems admitting my “flaws” on a daily basis. I am going to concentrate on being more open and honest on a daily basis.

That’s about it for today! I have some fun stuff to talk about tomorrow! So I’ll see you then.
